I love candy and so I don't see why anyone wouldn't want a candy bar. They make great stocking stuffers. I made these a few years ago for a pre-school fundraiser at my church and they sold faster than I could make them. I originally saw them on Splitcoaststampers.com in 2004. I decided to update it for this year and offered it as part of my Christmas Gift class. And everyone just loved it. The candy bars are the 5 ounce size that our local Kroger always puts on sale for $1.
Don't you just love it! All supplies are Stampin' Up!
Supplies that you will need

- Whisper White Cardstock
- Summer Sun Cardstock
- Blush Blossom Cardstock
- Basic Black Cardstock
- Crimper
- Scallop Punch
- 1/4" circle punch
- Vintage Brads (black ones)
- Sticky Strip
- Snail adhesive
- Paper Piercer
- Mat Pack
- Paper Cutter
- 5 ounce candy bar (I used Hershey.)
Cut body pattern out of red cardstock. Wrap around large candy bar to shape. Punch out a white scallop circle for pom pom on hat. Punch a 1/4" circle out for the nose from Blush Blossom. Now wrap cardstock around candy bar and adhere with sticky strip or mono adhesive.
Cut strip of US white cardstock 3/4 wide and 11 inches long, crimp and use as band of the hat. Also cut beard and mustache out of us white. Use blush blossom for the face. Adhere beard to center of red cardstock.
Punch two 1/8 inch holes in the face for eyes, now set 2 black brads. Place nose in center. Adhere to top center of beard. Now adhere mustache under the nose. Adhere crimped white strip around candy bar. Place strip slightly over top of the face. So he's just peeking through. I added a belt. I cut a strip of black cardstock between ¾ inch wide and approximately 11” long. I adhered to the bottom of the body of the Santa and then trimmed the edges. I cut a square of summer sun (yellow) card stock approx 1” x 1 ½” to make the buckle. I use a strip of sticky strip to attach the candy bar to the cardstock. I also use sticky strip on each edge to keep the cardstock attached to the candy bar. Does the candy bar stick to the cardstock? Yes it does. I have made them up to 2 months in advance and they were still sticking when I gave them.
Now who's looking forward to getting one of these in their stocking.
Now I thought that my Santa was lonely so I decided to make him a friend - a Snowman. What do you think?
All supplies are from Stampin' Up!
Bashful Blue Cardstock
Whisper White Cardstock
Pumpkin Pie Cardstock
Pumpkin Pie Ink
Basic Black Crdstock
Scallop Punch
Sticky Strip
Snail adhesive
3/4 inch punch
Paper cutter and snips
5 ounce candy bar (Hershey is what I used.)
Take the Santa pattern and cut it out in white. This is the base of the snowman. The snowman’s hat is the top 3 ½ inches of the body pattern. Cut it out in Bashful blue. I added ¾ inch white punch circles as polka dots or you can stamp a design on the hat and scarf. Use a white scallop circle punch for pom pom for the hat. The eyes and mouth are ¾” black circle punch outs – use the white gel pen to make a dot in the eyes. The nose is pumpkin pie cut in a small triangle with pumpkin pie ink edging it. The scarf is 1 ½ inches wide along the bottom of the candy bar. (That would be 1 1/2 inches by 9 inches long.) Take another 1 ½ inch wide x 9 inch long piece of cardstock for the scarf fold in half, decorate and adhere. Use sticky strip to finish the candy bar.
Okay - Now it is your turn. What have you made into a candy bar?
